At Ocean City Electrical, we are committed to providing honest, professional maintenance and electrical solutions to Plymouth and the surrounding areas.. All our electricians and technicians are trained and qualified, to ensure you get a professional job completed by a professional tradesperson every time. They’re also regularly checked against the DBS database and given regular training on working within environments containing potentially vulnerable people.
Safeguarding is protecting children, young people and vulnerable adults’ health, wellbeing and human rights whilst carrying out work in occupied premises. It is something that Ocean City Electrical place a huge emphasis on throughout the entire operation of our business.
Due to the nature of our work, we frequently encounter children, young people and vulnerable adults. We have a number of safeguarding policies and procedures in place, which detail the practical measures we take to protect vulnerable groups. We also have a code of conduct which outlines the behaviours that we expect from our electricians.
There is legislation and government guidance in place, such as the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS), to prevent unsuitable people from working with children, young people and vulnerable adults. As a result, we regularly run DBS checks on our workforce – they can also be obtained on request from our clients. We also provide regular toolbox talks and training with safeguarding as the primary focus. This ensures our workforce has a deep understanding of safeguarding and how to identify potential safeguarding issues. Our staff are trained to make informed decisions and temper their working practices accordingly. They also know when to report any concerns and seek advice when the need may arise.
